Teacher, Studio Director
Sujun is a Director and Owner of Moksha Yoga Vaughan and is a Founder of Moksha Yoga Markham. She was born and educated in China and had a colourful career in China: doctor, a teacher, a banker, principal of her own vocational school , fitness studio owner / instructor, an aerobics instructor and a tai chi master.
Then she decided to expand her horizons and emigrated to Canada where she was introduced to Moksha Yoga. After practising Moksha for a number of months, she took the Moksha Teachers' Training Program and started teaching Moksha Yoga.
Yoga has benefited her greatly through increased strength, flexibility and agility. Physically she has always been plagued with a back problem and had to visit a chiropractor and an osteopath on a monthly basis. Since doing yoga those visits have decreased to the point where she has had no need to go at all since the end of 2005.
Her main mission in life is to share her new health and wellness. Sujun feels that generally everyone will be happier and feel more complete and healthy if they practice yoga on a regular basis.
Todd Canning
Teacher
Todd is a Collingwood native who found yoga in order to rehabilitate his body. Todd has been highly athletic as a surfer, windsurfer, high-caliber tree planter and competitive snowboard racer. Injuries from several of his passions left him with chronic pain that lingered for years. Thanks to a friend's referral, hot yoga completely fixed Todd's body, and this is the sole reason for his choice of path as a yoga teacher: to help people help themselves and free their bodies from pain. He has taught at studios in California, Vancouver, Montreal and now resides in Richmond Hill and Collingwood.

Following more than two decades in varying corporate administrative positions within the winemaking industry, Danny's growing penchant for wellness and physical conditioning eventually lead him to pursue a career in health and fitness. Shortly before attaining certifications in fitness assessment and personal training, Danny was introduced to yoga while traveling abroad on the island of Kauai. This initial introduction to Hatha yoga piqued Danny's interest. However, it wasn't until shortly afterwards, upon his return to Canada, while attending his first Hot Yoga class that Danny experienced a truly cathartic revelation. From the outset, it was clearly evident that the awareness and inter-connectivity that yoga cultivates was an ideal complement to the rigors of conventional fitness.
In the summer of 2004, Danny registered and subsequently graduated from the inaugural Moksha Teacher Training certification program consisting of over 800 hours of study. Danny has since studied with many highly accredited teachers including David Life, Paul Grilley, Judith Lasater, Baron Baptiste and John Friend. Danny's love and passion for yoga grows with every passing day. Danny credits his teachers, students and family for helping him to attain a greater understanding and appreciation of connection, compassion and awareness.

I was introduced to yoga in 2003 while I was very sick. At the time I was so excited to find something that not only improved my health but also changed my life. I have never looked back! I am happy to have been taught this practice by many fabulous teachers, including David Swenson, Duncan Wong, Todd Norian, Ann Greene, Ron Reid and Diane Bruni. I started to teach yoga in Canada 4 years ago. As a registered yoga teacher of Yoga Alliance, I teach all the levels of Ashtanga Yoga, vinyasa flow yoga and hot yoga. Because of my Ashtanga Yoga and Iyengar Yoga background, my classes blend a strong component of body awareness, alignment, core strength and traditional teaching. Much love to all my students for letting me spend this special time with them.
It took a few months of persuading to get Emma into the hot yoga room in 2003 and only 90 minutes for her to realize this was something special. Used to muscling through any form of exercise, it was a true breakthrough when she was able to "breathe" through an entire class.
Emma graduated from the University of Calgary and later completed the Microsoft Systems Engineering designation and then spent five years in the technology field. In 2004, she embarked on an inner journey which would change the way she lived her life. Always fascinated by metaphysics, she was guided to the holistic practitioner program at the Transformational Arts College. She also began to delve deeply into her yoga practise, which led to completing the Moksha Yoga training in Hawaii in 2007. It was through these pursuits that she began to experience an awakening of the heart; embracing the concepts of being present, connection, surrender, non-attachment, stillness and self love.
She is continuing to complete her holistic designation and is developing a series of consciousness workshops. Emma believes that we all have the choice to bring peace, mindfulness and compassion to whatever situation we find ourselves in. Emma considers it a great honour to guide Moksha classes andwould like to thank her family, friends, teachers and students for the support and growth they continue to provide.

My yoga journey began with a 6:30 am hot yoga class. I was hooked from the beginning and proceeded to take 500 classes over the next two years! I was fortunate to take part in the inaugural Moksha teacher training in Toronto and have been teaching full time ever since. I try to teach every class like a class that I would like to take.
Before I started teaching I was a pool player/actor/stand-in. I was standing in on the movie Cinderella man and three months into the movie (with one month left to shoot) I walked up to the director, Ron Howard, and told him I was leaving the show the next week to start a yoga teacher training course. He told me he thought I was doing the right thing - his wife told him that yoga is great, and here I am!

Stephanie has been a hairstylist for the past thirty years, using cardio and weight training to keep fit. Six years ago she added yoga to her routine to bring a sense of balance to her life. Enjoying yoga and all of its benefits, she sought different forms of yoga until some friends introduced her to hot yoga. She began a daily practice, and after finding better health and improved posture, she decided to train as a teacher. Stephanie trained under Bikram and his senior teachers in Los Angeles and received her certification in November of 2003. She is dedicated to yoga and intends to continue studying so that she can bring a wealth of knowledge to her class and share with fellow practitioners.

Bob took his first yoga class on a bet in 2002 and has never looked back. Five years later, in July 2007, Bob took the Moksha Yoga Teacher Training to help move his practice to a new level. Michael Stone, a teacher at the training, made a comment that stuck "Remember you are always first and foremost a student just at a different level along this yoga path".
Bob loves the north and water and spends much of his time in the woods in and around Bancroft where he has a cabin at the waters edge. He is an artist and loves poetry and music and feels that all of these experiences are an extension of his Yoga Practice.
When I am present I do my best writing my best painting, my best yoga.
And so begins a new phase of the journey!!!!
Other Moksha Yoga Teachers are
